Staff Accountant

We are currently seeking a highly dedicated, career-minded individual to join our team as a staff accountant. Specifically, we are looking for a staff accountant with inventory management, and costing experience. 

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree in accounting

• 3-5 years of inventory and cost accounting experience with a proven history of success in a similar role

• Advanced knowledge of purchase orders, item receipts, vendor invoices, and work orders

• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

• Detail-oriented with solid critical thinking skills

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Pro-active team player, with a positive attitude

• Strong computer skills, proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook

• Experience with ERP systems

Essential duties and responsibilities

• Supervise inventory counts

• Manage inventory data in ERP

• Track, report, and resolve inventory-related errors or discrepancies

• Prepare inventory reports

• Manage inventory-related transactions in the accounting system

• Review and reconcile inventory transfers and adjustments throughout the month

• Calculate costs for individual components (manufactured and purchased), as well as completed products

• Calculate gross margins and assist in the generation of commercial pricing

• Assist in monthly close process

• Support year-end audit preparation and analysis

• Other accounting and finance related duties, as assigned
