We are a rapidly growing project management and engineering company in the utility and gas storage sector. We are currently seeking a Project Engineer (Mechanical, Civil, or Environmental) to join our team in Canonsburg, PA. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated professional who will not only provide engineering oversight but will act as lead person initiating and executing various projects in multiple facets of the oil and gas industry.
Duties:
- Must be able to identify, quantify, and direct broad and discrete projects for existing and potential customers.
- Must have the technical ability to present viable methodology to accomplish those projects both to his team and the end user.
- Must be thoroughly familiar with industry and its regulatory environment.
- Should be able to identify and develop new opportunities as they arise- construction, operation, and retirement, both wells and associated facilities.
- Technical familiarity with drilling, stimulation, workovers, and repairs, plugging in a regulated environment is a must; as is some technical familiarity with midstream operations- separation, compression, pipelining, welding and fabrication.
- Will assist in setting prices based on competitive considerations and will be available to assist in developing realistic sales projections.
- Must be able to initiate and maintain business relationships with customers in both office and field.
- As a lead person, initiate, execute, and complete various projects primarily in the midstream and gas utility industry.
- Develop and initiate cost estimates, budgets, and detailed procedures for potential and active projects.
- Manage and approve project related budgets, expenditures, payroll, etc.
- Working with internal and external stakeholders, maintain project scope and parameters.
- Ensure compliance with all related laws and regulations.
- Identify, mentor, develop key personnel within the organization.
- Initiate, manage and review daily, monthly, and quarterly project reports.
- Develop and maintain supplier and subcontractor relationships.
- Foster and ensure cooperation across business lines.
Job Qualifications and Skill Sets:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited engineer university
- Registration as a professional engineer is preferred
- IADC Oil and Gas Operator Representative (OGOR) via Wild Well training is preferred
- Minimum of 4+ years of work experience with at least 3 years of work experience in the upstream/midstream oil and gas industry or a related industry or demonstrates job knowledge.
Physical Requirements:
- Applicant must possess the stamina to work in a field environment in all weather conditions wearing job appropriate PPE.
