Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create, implement, optimize and verify programs/setup sheets for CNC machines 

  • Evaluate, improve and document set-up procedures, process sheets and tool layouts in manufacturing systems.

  • Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards

  • Develop and implement systems that optimize all phases of production processes.

  • Working knowledge and understanding of machine tooling and proper usage 

  • Generate and maintain information in Excel or Word based off CNC programs 

  • Control the handling of CNC programs from server to CNC machines

  • Monitor, document, and control any changes made to CNC programs

  • Troubleshoot programming related issues (tools, manufacturing process, or mechanical)

  • General and practical knowledge of measuring tools, equipment, and concepts o Evaluate all designs to validate their functions and ensure they successfully reduce time and money for the company

  • Basic knowledge of how to use ERP Systems o On a project Basis

  • Generate 3D model, detailed drawings, and instructions for manufacturing o Examine materials and production costs to determine manufacturing requirements.

  • Enhance existing product to improve performance and aesthetics

  • Work with engineering, marketing, production, and/or sales departments to establish, evaluate, and approve design concepts

  • Participate in component and product testing

  • Create sketches and illustrations of potential products using CAD software 

  • Develop ideas for products and components

Requirements:

  • BS in Engineering, or five years related experience

  • Detail oriented

  • IT skills, including CAD (MS Office, SolidWorks)

  • Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills o Must be mechanically inclined

  • Knowledge of manufacturing concepts

  • Interact with Supply Management Department
