Pay: $200-$250/hour

Position Overview: As a Healthcare Financial Consultant specializing in Efficiency and Expense Management, you will play a key role in optimizing financial performance and operational efficiency within our healthcare organization. Collaborating closely with finance leadership, departmental managers, and other stakeholders, you will assess current practices, analyze financial data, and develop targeted strategies to enhance labor management and control supply expenses while maintaining high-quality patient care.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of labor management processes, including staffing levels, scheduling practices, and productivity metrics across various departments within the medical center.

  • Analyze financial data related to labor costs, supply expenses, and operational inefficiencies to identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings.

  • Develop and implement evidence-based strategies and best practices to optimize labor utilization, reduce overtime expenses, and enhance workforce productivity while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate with departmental leaders and supply chain management to evaluate supply utilization patterns, negotiate contracts with vendors, and implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and reduce supply costs.

  • Provide financial analysis, modeling, and forecasting support to departmental managers and finance leadership to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics related to labor management and supply expense management, and provide regular reports and updates to stakeholders on progress towards established goals.

  • Participate in cross-functional teams and quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, reducing costs, and improving overall financial performance within the healthcare organization.
     

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and cost management within the healthcare industry, with a focus on labor management and supply chain optimization.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Proven track record of success in implementing efficiency and expense management initiatives, achieving cost savings targets, and driving sustainable financial performance improvements.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and proficiency in financial software and tools.

  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, reimbursement methodologies, and industry trends related to labor management and supply chain management.
