Pay: $150,000- $180,000 
Location: Moundsville, WV (Where the candidate will report)

Our client, located in Cameron, West Virginia, is looking for a General Superintendent who will lead the company's field project execution team through all aspects of Civil Construction. 

We are looking for a dynamic individual who possesses both practical experience in the field along with a professional demeanor. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in the industry and be able to seamlessly transition into an executive setting when required. This role requires someone who can balance expertise with professionalism.

Responsibilities:
•    Review all job packages prior to the start of project execution.  Determine execution strategy including needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) and critical dates from project start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.  Review the same with key field personnel to ensure continuity of understanding in scope of work documents, drawing packages, crew schedules, etc. 
•    Communicate regularly and effectively with the Project Team through execution to ensure operational efficiency.  Make adjustments to execution strategy and/or resource assignment in order to meet critical dates and ensure overall project success.
•    Work directly with clients, client representatives, and others as necessary.
Always maintain positive relationships and a professional appearance.
•    Hire all field personnel, with the assistance of human resources.
•    Enforce company policies and procedures with field employees.
•    Ensure projects are completed safely and according to schedule.
•    Ensure that all job reporting and paperwork is complete and concise, including JSA’s, timesheets, equipment inspection reports, vehicle inspection reports, and others as necessary.  
•    Champion safety at all levels of the company.
•    Champion a culture that allows employees to thrive.  Lead by example.   Clearly communicate performance expectations to direct reports.  Hold them accountable to those expectations and praise their successes.  

Assist other departments, as needed:
•    Attend job and coordination meetings with crews and clients.
•    Assist Foreman, as needed, with managing and overseeing work completed by crew and subcontractors, including planning, logistics, execution etc. to ensure compliance with scopes and schedule.  
•    Assist Project Manager with material and supply purchasing.
•    Assist Estimator with scope breakdown and resource loading for estimating projects, as needed.
•    Assists Estimator with pre-bid site walks and bid meetings, as needed.

Requirements:
•    10 years of construction experience, preferably in piping, excavation, or other civil construction and 5 years management experience
•    Clean driving record and ability to pass a DOT physical
•    Travel up to 50%
•    Ability to work 10+ hour days, including weekends and holidays, as required
•    Ability to manage a team of Foreman across multiple projects simultaneously
•    Technologically proficient
•    Excellent planning, communication, and leadership skills
