The Field Service Support Specialist will play a critical role in supporting the Field Service Coordinator by assisting with various administrative and accounting tasks related to field operations. This position requires a keen attention to detail and a strong ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. The specialist will be instrumental in ensuring that time sheets, invoicing, and communication with employees and supervisors are handled efficiently and accurately.

Job Type: Permanent Hire
Pay: $20-$24/hour
Location: Remote, there will be (1) day of in person training

Responsibilities:
 

  • Assist in preparing and reviewing invoices across multiple product lines, ensuring accuracy and adherence to billing protocols.
  • Compile and organize data into spreadsheets and accounting software, maintaining meticulous records.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues with billing and timesheets to ensure all projects are billed and paid within the appropriate time frame.
  • Provide support to the Field Service Coordinator in daily operations, including communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work independently and collaboratively within the billing team to support overall financial responsibilities and contribute to team efforts as needed.
  • Utilize strong problem-solving skills to address and resolve issues promptly and effectively.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in Billing, Project Accounting, Payroll, Accounts Payable, or Accounts Receivable.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the oil & gas industry – previous inspection experience preferred
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Excel and the capacity to quickly learn new software and billing systems.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, capable of dealing with both internal team members and external clients.
  • This position is available as a hybrid role, allowing for work from home and office as needed, following completion of training and full understanding of processes.
