Job Overview:

The electrical engineer is responsible for designing, maintaining and installation of industrial electrical systems.  This position must be confident and comfortable in electrical cabinets and have the ability to teach hands-on in the field.  This position will work closely with the Controls and Integration Department, Plant Maintenance Teams and Engineering to support Audia Reliability strategies.

Pay: $100,000-$130,000/year 
Location: Washington, PA

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee plant electrical structure, design and reliability for each site

  • Asses individual processes electrical systems, manage a prioritized upgrade program and have recovery plans for critical equipment; building electrical systems, switchgear, transformers, electrical panels, drives, motors (AC and DC), pumps, heating devices and machine controls

  • Mentor and develop electrical competencies for the engineering and maintenance group 

  • Create and implement a foundation for electrical best practices 

  • Develop and manage key vendor’s partnerships that complement and build bench strength that reduces risk to the company

  • Provide plant field support for electrical troubleshooting, inspections, upgrades and retrofits

  • Manage projects and installations and at time execute the jobs onsite

  • Safety circuits design and interlock validation

  • PLC logic editing, troubleshooting and VFD experience

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge

  • Reviews, writes and implements engineering criteria, directives, standards, specifications, and drawings related to electrical systems

  • Knowledgeable of NFPA 70 National Electric Code and other industry safety/design standards 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering

  • Industrial electrical hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Self-driven with the ability to create/take direction and drive for results with minimal management

  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills with ability and desire to communicate well in both written and verbal forms

Working Conditions                                                                                                  

  • Manufacturing Environment: Large portion is office/manufacturing floor but at times will require hands-on implementation of projects

  • Global Travel of 25% typical.  Some higher travel based on project work.
