Our client, located in Oakmont, is looking for an Assistant Controller/Business Systems Analyst, This candidate will be providing cost accounting and business systems analysis for a producer of nutrition bars and healthy snacks in a dynamic, multi-national environment. 

This is an on-site position. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Accounting
    • Manage, develop and coach staff accountants
    • Ensure accuracy of general ledger and financial statements
    • Facilitate and review account reconciliations
    • Assist with year end close and preparation of tax documents for our CPA firm
    • Assist in Budget forecasting and variance analysis
    • Oversee and participate in the input of A/R and A/P
    • Review and approve weekly vendor payments
  • Business Processes
    • Work in depth in our ERP system to recognize end-user needs and develop solutions to improve efficiencies
    • Create workbenches and dashboards for KPIs and frequently used information
    • Troubleshoot ERP-related issues
    • Work as a liaison between ERP system or MSP and our end users
    • Responsible for drafting user guides and testing for new version of our ERP system
    • Assist with the selection of a new MSP and computer system setup
  • Profitability and Cost Analysis
    • Update comprehensive profitability reports by:
      • Customer groupings
      • Product families
      • Products
    • Analysis of freight expense and develop minimum cost transportation alternatives
  • Provide analytical support
    • To management on an as-needed basis
    • To support process and cost improvement

Qualifications:
 

•    A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, MIS, or Computer Science.
•    Five plus years of accounting/finance/operations experience preferably in a manufacturing environment with a strong knowledge of cost accounting, financial reporting, management information systems and manufacturing processes.  
•    Advanced skills using financial software packages, databases, and Microsoft Office Suite.
•    Must have strong analytical skills and accounting skills.  Be detailed oriented but also able to look at the big picture and properly assess the situation finding technical solutions to business process challenges.   
•    Candidates should be self-motivated and able to work under pressure and to deadlines.
•    Ability to generate bold, creative ideas to improve performance.
•    Must be customer service oriented, have the ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently.   
•    Must have well developed written and oral communication skills, excellent organizational skills to handle multiple tasks concurrently, and be proactive.   
•    Ability to generate clear, understandable documentation (summary and detailed).
